WELCOME TO THE VILLAGE

How did I get here?
My dad, Keith, was an interesting fella. One of his requests when he was dying was that some of his ashes be taken to Alaska (he worked on the pipeline in the 1970s) for one last adventure. If you found his biodegradable urn, you have now become part of that adventure. Be sure to put him back in the water if you find him, but snap a picture first!

Why a website?
Well, we couldn't have people stumbling across an urn in the Alaskan wilderness and wondering what it was. That would be a bit rude. But also we wanted a way to share my dad's life story; to memorialize him in a way that would last longer than the urn and the many tales we all have about him.
Who is Keith?
He was a character, a storyteller, someone always ready with a joke, a friend that you could lean on no matter what. He was a father to three feral children, loving husband of 45 years to the best woman in the world, a business owner and farmer, and probably the coolest guy you'd ever come to meet. He was a Kentuckian through and through, but loved to go new places and have adventures!
What is Keith's Village?
My dad left behind a huge family, and that family was made up of more than blood relatives. He had friends all over the world who'd regale you with stories of his antics, his sense of humor, his need for adventure, and his giant heart. In his eulogy, I talked about it being a village he lovingly built. We want to keep it alive.
